xbox live update downloads

Where I can download from Xbox Live updates on your computer to my Xbox 360?

Is there a website or some websites that let me download updates for my 360 on a flash drive and then connect to my xbox 360 and the update that way? There is also a web page (s) that you do so at the games? I want to download an update for my Call of Duty games (4 and 5) but will not let me through the Xbox, but I can play online. It's a bit weird. Good thanks in advance.

You have to download directly to your Xbox Live console, you can not copy anything from a PC to the console's hard drive unless the team skipped.
