Writing iMac Wifi during sleep?

I've been using my iMac as a router for my Xbox 360 via Ethernet. However, one problem I have with this is the fact that when I put my iMac in sleep there is no wifi connection to my internal modem is not connected to my Xbox 360 via Ethernet. So you have to do is leave my screensaver game while playing for hours. I feel uncomfortable leaving my iMac for so long. I would feel much better if I could put it in standby and off the screen does not work, but still get wifi connection from my modem. I think there must be a way to do this. If there is please let me know. If you do not know the answer please do not respond with a comment on an alternative idea. If you know the answer and have an alternative (ie "That's not possible, because … instead try to …." or "It is possible to do that …")

The only correct answer you will get are the alternatives you do not want to hear. This is because it is not possible – something you will not hear. That said, read more, because my answer is two of the alternatives that do not want to hear. 1) Get a wireless router. You do not have to arrive at an airport unless Apple has features that are needed and are willing to pay. You get more but pay more. 2) Set the iMac to set the display to sleep after 30 minutes (in energy savings of System Preferences). Then select the option to put the hard disks to sleep when possible (same place in saving energy). Finally, in the Desktop & Screen Saver Move the slider to the right to set the screen saver to never start and make sure you have not set the desktop image to change. These steps will to keep the iMac in a state (in the non-use) that will use the hard drive and very small screen. However, the wireless router is a much better option.
